The Augusta Public Library, a tax-supported institution, is a service-oriented facility striving to accommodate the informational, recreational, and educational needs of patrons in Augusta and surrounding areas. The Library shall actively encourage the use of its resources by patrons of all ages and backgrounds.

Services

  • Book Sale: Buy a donated or withdrawn book at a great price. We continually restock the sale & our ‘Friends of the Library’ have an annual book sale.
  • Brown Bag Discussion: Meets 2nd Monday of each month at noon to discuss a featured book.
  • Community Room: Available to non-profits free of charge. Fee charged to for-profit businesses. Call for information about private parties.
  • Computer Classes: Sign up for a free computer class in Intro to Computers, Word, Internet and Excel.
  • Genealogy Group: Meets 1st Thursday at 1:00p.m. Programs and discussion for interested patrons.
  • Interlibrary Loan: Materials may be borrowed from other libraries if we do not own them. All you need is a library card in good standing.
  • Internet Access: Free use of the Internet as available. Adult patrons must read and sign our policy. Minors (under 18) must have a parent’s signature.
  • Memorial/Gift Program: Honor or remember a friend or loved one with a gift to the library in their name.
  • Outreach Services: Volunteers provide service to the homebound by delivering materials to them.
